Product Overview
This is an umbrella policy covering most comprehensively various types of risks to which an erection project may be exposed to.
The policy covers any unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage to the insured property from any cause, other than those specifically excluded, in a manner necessitating repair or replacement.
The loss or damage arising out of fire, lightning, accidental, Act of God, and so on are covered. The policy also covers testing and commissioning.
Coverage Levels
Comprehensive erection cover
Covers unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage to insured property during erection works, subject to policy exclusions.
Events insured
Includes loss or damage arising out of fire, lightning, accidents, Act of God events, and similar risks covered under the policy.
Testing, commissioning, and liability
The policy also covers testing and commissioning, and a limit has to be opted for the third-party liability section.
Benefits
Sum Insured
The sum insured shall not be less than the full value of each item at the completion of the erection inclusive of freight, customs duties, dues and the erection cost.
Premium
Premium depends on the nature of erection work, period involved, the type of civil works, the policy period, and related underwriting factors.
