Marine Cargo
This cover is recommended for businesses whose operations involve regular importation of Raw materials, packaging materials, spares and/ or exportation of finished products from the destination to another by sea, road, rail or air. This policy covers the risk of loss, destruction or damage to cargo in transit.
This insurance covers voyage from the warehouse or place of storage named in the policy and continues during the ordinary course of transit and terminates either;
On delivery to the consignees’ place of storage at the destination or warehouse.
At the final port of discharge (port to port)
The cover considerations are based on;
1. Type of goods being carried.
2. Packaging of the goods.
3. Mode of transportation.
4. Places of origin and destination of goods.
